Little Briggs is definitely in some pain, but it seems manageable. He has mostly just been on Tylenol the last 24 hours, but did just get some morphine to help the pain.
Since this is our first time through this we don't know what's "normal," and since his emergency event was so unheard of he is a pretty special patient here. So it's hard to know if he is doing well for having VSD closure surgery, or doing well for having VSD closure surgery and then bleeding out and having another surgery. We want him to be doing well for having VSD surgery, and be at a point clinically where it is as if the second surgery never happened.

What a precious smile!!!! :) I hope that Briggs has a good, gaining strength with every minute. God Bless you both as you sit next to your baby wishing you could make him better. The strength you have shown is amazing, and true blessing from God.

hi. came across your site through andrea's blog. just wanted to say your family is in my prayers. briggs is a trooper. my almost 3 year old daughter had her asd fixed at lucile packard on may 29th. i hope you get to move to 3 west soon. at least you and briggs will get more rest up there.
